Position Title:                         Ministry Child Care P/T Teacher

Work Schedule:                    -Wed 9 a – 12 p

                                               -Thurs 8:15 a – 12 p

                                               -Mon 9 a – 12 p (1st Monday/month)

Reports to:                            Early Childhood Director + Ministry Child Care Associate


PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION

The vision of Highland Park Presbyterian Church is to lead all generations to become transformed followers of Jesus, for the flourishing of our city and beyond.

 

The Ministry Child Care Teachers lead all generations to become transformed followers of Jesus for the flourishing of our city and beyond by loving and caring for the young children of parents who are attending HP Pres sponsored Bible Studies. 

 

DESIRED RESULTS/IMPACT OF THIS POSITION

  • Children feel loved and are experiencing Jesus in age-appropriate ways
  • Parents feel supported by having a safe and nurturing environment for their children while they are growing in their relationship with Christ.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide care for children whose parents are attending Bible Studies on campus
  • Teach provided age-appropriate lesson for the children in your care
  • Be able to care for multiple children of varied ages in a room
  • Maintain a clean and healthy space before, during, and after children are in your care
  • Communicate with parents at drop off and pick up


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILL, ABILITY REQUIREMENTS 

  • Experience caring for multiple children
  • Knowledge of the English language
  • High School degree
  • Teaching infant and preschool children by reading, song, play, art, and general activities
  • Familiar with Biblical studies, child development, safety procedures
  • Training in First Aid, CPR, Defibrillator
